Gnoss is a superb neotrad Scottish folk band formed in 2015 by Aidan Moodie and Graham Rorie from Orkney. Connor Sinclair and Craig Baxter joined the group shortly thereafter.

The band is known for its rich acoustic sound, combining exceptional musicianship, traditional roots, and contemporary compositions. This mix of styles has earned them a dedicated following.

Triple Scots Trad Music Awards nominees, Gnoss has gained recognition for their innovative approach to traditional music and the warm atmosphere of their live performances. They have sold out three consecutive shows at Glasgow’s Celtic Connections festival.

Their 2019 album, Drawn From Deep Water, received widespread acclaim for its interplay, emotional depth, and carefully selected material. This 11-track album took the band to audiences in France, Italy, Denmark, and throughout the UK.

The follow-up album, The Light of The Moon, spotlighted their commitment to their craft, earning a nomination for Album of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards.

In 2023, Gnoss released their third album, Stretching Skyward. This album, produced by Scott Wood (Skerryvore), continued to explore their acoustic roots while incorporating electronic elements.
