The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys Reveal first single of 2024

East Tennessee bluegrass group The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys have released their first single of 2024, “Lonely Pine,” through Smithsonian Folkways. This song, which premiered at the 2023 IBMA awards, blends nimble guitar work with traditional, upbeat bluegrass to honor farmers and their deep connection to the land.

“‘Lonely Pine’ is a farmer’s plea to the ground he has worked for many years and to a particular conifer on his property that speaks to him,” says the group’s C.J. Lewandowski. “If you listen closely, nature can guide you.”

2024 marks the ten-year anniversary of The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys’ formation as the house band for Ole Smoky Moonshine. Over the past decade, they have toured extensively, showcasing their unique blend of straight-up bluegrass with touches of honky-tonk and traditional styles. This summer, the band will tour across the country, including performances at Nashville’s Station Inn and major festivals. Notably, they will make their debut at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival on June 21st, performing alongside artists like Madison Cunningham and Billy Strings.
