The SGAE Foundation is launching a new installment of its Nuevos Territorios (New Territories) series, featuring an artist sharing their musical passions while spotlighting emerging talents. In this edition, attention turns to Naike Ponce, a Cádiz-based singer nominated for the 2020 Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album.
Ponce will showcase performances by a cohort of burgeoning female flamenco artists: vocalists Teresa Hernández and Laura Marchal, guitarist Antonia Jiménez, and French-Spanish pianist Mélodie Gimard. The event will take place on May 10 and 11 at Madrid’s Sala Berlanga, Calle Andrés Mellado 53, with tickets priced at €6.50, available at the Sala Berlanga box office and ventas.com.
Preceding the performances, Naike Ponce will engage in a public discussion with Radio 3 broadcaster and journalist Teo Sánchez on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The conversation will delve into Ponce’s musical approach, flamenco, and insights into the featured emerging artists from a more intimate perspective.
