Renowned artist T Bone Burnett has released a new song titled “Sometimes I Wonder,” featuring Weyes Blood. This track is part of his upcoming solo album, The Other Side, scheduled for release on April 19 under Verve Forecast. Set against the backdrop of a graveyard, the song navigates profound existential inquiries, enhanced by Weyes Blood’s distinctive counter melodies.
Burnett expresses a sentimental attachment to the song, describing it as a return to his musical roots and a reconnection with the innocence of his early musical endeavors. To commemorate the release, Burnett will perform live in Nashville, marking his first full-length concerts in twenty years.
The tour commences at the Franklin Theatre on May 3, followed by a performance at The Blue Room at Third Man Records on May 9, and concludes at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CMA Theater on May 10.
