La Yegros Reveals New Single “Bailarin”

La Yegros has unveiled her latest single, “Bailarín,” marking the debut from her upcoming fourth studio album, Haz, slated for release at the end of March. Produced once again by Gaby Kerpel, “Bailarín” delves into deeply personal themes, embodying the fusion of folklore 2.0 that defines the Argentine artist’s style. The song explores themes of love’s resignation, the quest for self-discovery, and the desire for the other to continue shining.

Returning to the spotlight in 2022, La Yegros commemorated the 10th anniversary of her breakout hit “Viene de Mí,” which propelled her to international acclaim and laid the foundation for her eponymous album in 2013. Her resurgence reaffirms her stature as an artist deeply rooted in her country’s traditions and her parents’ cultural heritage. Growing up in Argentina with parents from Misiones, a province bordering Brazil and Paraguay, she was steeped in the rich sounds of chamamé, carnavalito, and Colombian cumbia, amidst the vibrant nightlife of Buenos Aires pulsating with dancehall and electronic beats.

These diverse influences converge seamlessly in her subsequent successful albums, Magnetismo (2016) and Suelta (2019), accompanied by electrifying tours highlighting La Yegros’ boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, and generous spirit. Her performances have graced prestigious stages worldwide, including Lollapalooza (Argentina), La Mar de Músicas (Spain), Womex (Spain), Lincoln Center New York (US), Bahidorá (Mexico), and Mundial Festival (Canada), among others. Moreover, she continually seeks meaningful collaborations, collaborating with luminaries like Gustavo Santolalla, Chinese Man, and Baba Zula.

A tastemaker in popular culture, La Yegros’ music has found resonance in hit series like “The Mayans,” “Club de Cuervos 3 Temporada,” “Ray Donovan Season 3,” and “Sangre Blanca,” underscoring her enduring relevance and global appeal.
