Ser is the second album by the talented Castra Leuca Trio from Portugal. In this recording, the trio skillfully weaves together traditional Portuguese melodies with a modern twist, infusing elements from western classical, jazz, and world music.
Formed in 2018, the Castra Leuca Trio, includes Joaquim Pires, Nicolas Ramirez Celis, and António Pedro Dias. Their unique take on familiar tunes breathes new life into the Portuguese songbook, creating a captivating instrumental fusion of sounds.
Their debut CD, Primeiro Andamento, earned rave reviews from specialized press and enjoyed airtime across the globe, from Portugal and Spain to the United States, Australia, Brazil, and Colombia.
