Bluegrass artist Amanda Cook has released a new single titled “New Star.” It is the first song unveiled from her upcoming album, Restless Soul. This is what Amanda had to say about the track. “To me, ‘New Star’ perfectly describes the ups and downs of the life of a musician. The incredible highs of performing on stage in contrast with the insecurities and self-doubt that sometimes creeps in. No matter the hardships, most musicians will never stop creating art and working towards their goals.
“As soon as I heard this Theo MacMillan penned tune, I knew it would be the anthem for our new album. The third verse really stands out to me, “I could put down roots like a parachute that lets me land…but a restless soul is bound to go when the calling comes…” Aaron (Ramsey) and the band did an incredible job bringing this song to life, and I am so happy to share it with everyone.”
Along with Amanda on lead vocals, the band includes Carolyne Van Lierop on banjo and harmony vocals; Troy Boone on mandolin and harmony vocals; Brady Wallen on guitar; George Mason on fiddle; and Josh Faul on bass.
