The first week of the Suma Flamenca festival, organized by the Community of Madrid, will feature 14 concerts. Several of these performances are premieres such as Veneros del cante by Arcángel; 50 años con mi cante by José el de la Tomasa; Zambra 1954 by Pedro Barragán; and the shows Masters of Classical Flamenco Art by Alejandro Hurtado and La Confluencia by Estévez & Paños.
This major encounter with flamenco art open to creation, experimentation, and reworking of classic flamenco will be held in the Spanish capital, Madrid and three municipalities of the Madrid region from October 17 to November 5, 2023.
Also performing in this first week are Mayte Martín, José Valencia, David Pino, Leonor Leal, Perrate, A. Lagos & Proyecto Lorca, Ana Morales, Fuensanta La Moneta, Estela Alonso and Enrique Pantoja
In total, 198 artists make up the cast of Suma Flamenca’s 44 concerts highlighting singing, dance and guitar shows.
