Acclaimed pipa player Wu Man of Carlsbad, California, will be recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts as a 2023 National Heritage Fellow, the United States’ highest honor in the folk and traditional arts. The celebration will take place on Friday, September 29 at 5:30 p.m. ET during a ceremony at the Library of Congress’ Thomas Jefferson Building.
