Acclaimed blues-rock artist Coco Montoya recently dropped a fresh tune titled “I Was Wrong,” marking the lead single from his soon-to-arrive album, Writing On The Wall. The song itself was crafted by Montoya’s buddy and occasional collaborator, Dave Steen, and packs a hefty emotional punch. Montoya’s performance takes you on a trip down memory lane, conjuring up echoes of his time rocking with the Bluesbreakers alongside the iconic John Mayall.
Writing On The Wall is set for release on September 1st. Montoya made a savvy move by roping in his well-seasoned touring band, featuring renowned keyboardist and songwriter Jeff Paris, bassist Nathan Brown, and drummer Rena Beavers. The album also features guest appearances by seasoned slide guitarist Lee Roy Parnell and guitarist Ronnie Baker Brooks.
