The album “Savoy” (Linus/Stony Plain) by acclaimed American roots music artist Taj Mahal has landed at #1 on the Blues Music category on the North American College and Community radio (NACC) charts for the week ending May 30, 2023.
Taj Mahal takes a new path in his musical journey with his album “Savoy,“ which includes a collection of blues oriented classic material. The album is a return to old school swing jazz big band era, and covers 14 standards composed by Duke Ellington, Louis Jordan, George Gershwin and Louis Armstrong.
