“Libres” by Las Migas, the renowned flamenco crossover ensemble from Spain, has emerged victorious once again, claiming the coveted AIE Independent Music Award for Best Flamenco Album in 2023. This achievement follows their triumphant win at the Latin Grammy Awards last year, where “Libres” secured the title of Best Flamenco Album in 2022.
A remarkable journey spanning eighteen years began when four exceptional Spanish women united their forces and talents, giving birth to the mesmerizing collective known as Las Migas. The group includes Carolina “La Chispa” Fernández on vocals; Laura Pacios on violin; Marta Robles on guitars and vocals; and Alicia Grillo on guitars and vocals.
