Sierra Nevada World Music Festival Announces New additions to the 2023 Lineup

Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (SNWMF) has unveiled the latest additions to their 2023 lineup, featuring an eclectic mix of reggae, ska, and electronic music. Leading the charge is Johnny Clarke, a roots reggae pioneer with over 20 albums under his belt, who will be backed by Soul Syndicate. The crowd can expect a performance of his many hits.

Blvk H3ro, pronounced “Black Hero,” is the young and talented artist who’s been shaking up the music scene with his skillful songwriting and cutting-edge production. Meanwhile, Kumar & the Original Fyah will reunite to deliver their signature sound, which ignites the burning flame in their fans.

Soul Ska, an award-winning ska/rocksteady collective hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, are set to give an unforgettable live experience with their legit sound. The Steady 45s will also transport festival-goers back to 1960s Jamaica with their infectious harmonies and upbeat instrumentals, backing Derrick Morgan and The Clarendonians, as well as playing their own set.

For a unique fusion of roots and electronic, look no further than Brazilbeat, a DJ-percussion live act known for filling dance floors across the world. Meanwhile, Jah Warrior Shelter Hi-Fi, the essential selectors from the Bay Area, are set to nice up the SNWMF Dance Hall.

Juan G, the artist bringing the hottest trends in African music to the world, will showcase Afrobeats at SNWMF 2023. Lastly, Boonfire, the hometown reggae band from Boonville, will blur the lines between rock, reggae, and everything in between.

It was also announced that Ken Boothe will unfortunately not be able to perform at SNWMF 2023. Despite the setback, the festival lineup remains a vibrant and exciting mix of musical genres that is sure to delight music lovers.
