The album “Lady Sings The Balkan Blues” by Mostar Sevdah Reunion (Bosnia) has reached the number 1 position at the World Music Charts Europe in February 2023.
The Mostar Sevdah Reunion project continues to promote sevdah, a unique musical expression and important part of the culture in the region. It also highlights talented local artists to the world.
Despite challenges, Mostar Sevdah Reunion are uncovering musical treasures and giving a platform to underrepresented talent, showcasing the beauty of the country and earning recognition from a global audience. The latest album has raised the bar, offering better quality and a new level of excellence.
The ensemble’s lineup includes Antonija Batinić on vocals; Mišo Petrović on lead, solo, and rhythm guitar; Senad Trnovac on drums; Marko Jakovljević on double bass and electric bass; Ivan Radoja on violin; Gabrijel Prusina on piano and accordion; and Sandi Duraković on rhythm guitar. Special guests: Boris Vuga on accordion; Orhan Maslo on percussion; and Ivan Sušac on trumpet.
