Dub inc – Futur (Diversité, 2022)
Futur is the eighth album by septet Dub Inc. The ensemble plays reggae sounds topped with touches of electronic music and trademark Middle Eastern harmonies. Moreover, the group uses activist lyrics, standing up for a future that those in power will never destroy.
Dub Inc’s album was developed during the pandemic lockdowns and affected by the experience of isolation. The band transcend their concerns about the future, transforming them into hope, that of seeing individuals finally unite and build a world that is respectful of everyone.
The album includes collaborations with Alborosie (Bad Boy) and with Kumar (People of the world).
The lineup includes Aurélien “Komlan” Zohou on lead vocals; Hakim “Bouchkour” Méridja on lead vocals; Grégory “Zigo” Mavridorakis on drums and percussion; Jérémie Grégeois on guitars; Moritz “DaBaron” Von Korff on bass; and Frédéric Peyron and Idir Derdiche on keyboards.
