Flamenco singer El Pele delivered a stirring performance at Suma Flamenca festival on October 21, 2022 at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid. El Pele presented the world premiere of his show ‘A sangre.’
The Córdoba-born singer, who has been said to contain the global memory of flamenco, is a seeker of new forms and new trends, from the purest roots of flamenco.
“When we flamencos sing ‘por seguiriya,’ as Aunt Anica la Periñaca used to say, our mouth tastes of blood, moments of inspiration and feeling at ease”, explained El Pele of his show, in which he was accompanied at all times by flamenco guitarist Niño Seve and percussionist José Moreno.
