Malian vocalist Rokia Koné has been nominated for two awards in the All Africa Music Awards. As Africa’s leading music awards ceremony, the AFRIMA Awards is a combined effort by music professionals across the continent with the goal of celebrating the rich musical heritage of the African continent.
One of the rising stars in the world music scene, Rokia Koné has been nominated in the Songwriter of the Year and Best Artist in African Traditional categories for her songs ‘Kurunba’ and ‘N’yanyan’ respectively. The awards ceremony will take place in Lagos, Nigeria on 11 December 2022.
Rokia is currently being booked for a tour in the UK and Europe next Spring.
