Cadiz-born singer David Palomar has released the bachata-flamenco song “A Orillas del Palmar”. The track will appear on the upcoming album “8 miradas” scheduled for September 2022.
Palomar’s new single delves into the urban folklore of the Dominican Republic, blending its flamenco roots into the most danceable bachata with influences from other genres such as Cuban son (son cubano) and merengue. “A Orillas del Palmar” is a song to love; a song to new opportunities.
David Palomar grew up singing flamenco. His hometown Cadiz is his main source of inspiration. “8 Miradas”, is David Palomar’s personal vision on eight specific topics: gender violence, pollution of the oceans, life, the involution of man, laziness, madness as something indispensable and differentiating, immigration across the strait and evolution as a form of revolution.
