Ortigueira, the influential Celtic music festival, has announced two of its headliners. Tanxugueiras (Galicia, Spain) and Red Hot Chilli Pipers (Scotland) are the first acts revealed so far. The Festival Internacional do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira will take place July 10-17, 2022 in Ortigueira, northwestern Spain.
Tanxugueiras is a rising act featuring three female vocalists, Olaia, Aida and Sabela, who fuse traditional music and urban rhythm, reformulating Galician music. Tanxugueiras sing in Galician and Spanish and was the audience favorite act to represent Spain in Eurovision 2022.
The Red Hot Chilli Pipers combine rock and traditional Scottish music.
