Tony Allen: A Retrospective, a Celebration of Afrobeat

The show Tony Allen: A Retrospective will celebrated the life and legacy of the late drummer Tony Allen. The Nigerian artist was one of the founders of Afrobeat. The show, curated by Femi Koleoso, Remi Kabaka, Ben Okri and Damon Albarn will take place on Saturday, November 13 at London Royal Festival Hall. 

The star-studded line-up includes

Afla Sackey, Andrew Ashong, Ben Okri, Brother Portrait, Bukky Leo, Cassie Kinoshi (Kokoroko, SEED Ensemble), Damon Albarn, Dave Okumu (The Invisible), Dele Sosimi, Eska, Ezra Collective, Femi Koleoso, Jimi Tenor, Joan as Police Woman, Joe Armon-Jones, K.O.G, Lava La Rue, Lekan Babalola (Yoruba Percussion and Poetry), Mad Professor, Nitin Sawhney, Remi Kabaka, Richie Selvwright (Kokoroko), Sheila Maurice-Grey (Kokoroko), Tiger Tigre, Tom Excell (MD), Wayne Snow.
