The north Ghanaian Kologo (a two stringed lute) master Guy One has recorded two new songs with his brand new band, consisting of Kumasi’s finest young talents, along with Florence Adooni and Tenni Akagam as his backing vocals section.
The song ‘So La Ma La’ has a straightforward Highlife rhythm combined with Afrobeat bass lines.
The other track, ‘To Kale Na’nabala‘ is grounded in the traditional Kete rhythm, a bounce polyrhythm in 12/8.
