The resort town of Benidorm in eastern Spain will host a flamenco festival for the first time. The Cultural Federation of Andalusia in the Southern Valencian Community (Fecuas) has brought together several flamenco stars in a gala that will take place on Saturday, July 17, 2021at the Óscar Esplá Auditorium.
Festival Flamenco Benidorm will feature performances by the cantaores (singers) Fina de Ángeles and Raúl Montesinos (winner of the ‘Minera Lamp’ at the 44th edition of Cante de las Minas), accompanied by José ‘el Pelirrojo’ on guitar, as well as a group of dancers from the Andalusian houses of Alcoy and Ibi.
This is the third festival organized by the Federation, focusing on flamenco in a festival format. The initiative is supported by the Cante de las Minas Foundation, which will be represented during the event by Juan Carlos López, coordinator and director of External Relations of the iconic International Festival of Cante de las Minas.
Benidorm is a popular tourist town that welcomes thousands of Spanish and international visitors every year.
