The SGAE Foundation, together with AIE, Guitarras Ramírez and the Royal Classic String, have partnered to support the celebration of the farewell tour of guitar maestro Víctor Monge ‘Serranito’. The Madrid guitarist thus puts an end to a legendary career that lasted 65 years.
The farewell tour Como un Sueño will allow guitar fans to enjoy Serranito’s music for the last time. On June 23, 2021, Serranito was given the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts of the Ministry of Culture by their Majesties the Kings of Spain in an official ceremony at the Royal Palace of El Pardo. This distinction was granted to him in 2019, but it could not be officially given to him in person until this week due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The first concert of Víctor Monge’s farewell tour will take place on July 14, 2021 within the framework of the Córdoba International Guitar Festival.
