Tambo Jazz Collective, a Panamian ensemble that combines jazz with Panamanian folk muisc, is set to perform on Saturday, June 19 at 1:00 p.m. Panama time (EST). Cost is 5€ (euros).
Founded in 2016, TamboJazz Collective has participated in festivals such as the Panama Jazz Festival together with Luz Acosta, the Central American Percussion Festival (2017), El Salvador Jazz Festival (2018) and the San José Jazz Festival in Los Cabos, Mexico (2019). The group received the the Ibermúsica Award.
TamboJazz Collective integrates musicians who participated in the 2018 tour of maestro Rubén Blades and participated in his most recent album “Salswing.” It features members of important Panamanian bands such as Señor Loop and Los Beachers.
