Petaluma Records has released the music video “Hazlo Como Yo” by Cuban band Grupo Changüí de Guantánamo. The song appears on the upcoming Changüí – The Sound of Guantánamo album, a new 3 CD boxed set of on-site recordings of changüí music from Cuba’s Guantánamo region. The boxed set will be released on July 30, 2021.
Grupo Changüí de Guantánamo, the first formal changüí group, was founded in 1945 and continues to deliver the high energy, celebratory tradition of changüí. The band has changed throughout the decades, welcoming new members and younger generations, and remains the most well-known changüí group.
