The album “Meridiana” from Italian band Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino is the most popular world music album at the Transglobal World Music Chart (TWMC) in June 2021.
On Meridiana (Sundial) the band goes on with its groundbreaking mix of traditional pizzica and modern musical influences, continues where violins, accordion, plucked and wind instruments are intertwined with synth bass, loops and electronics sounds.
Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino includes bandleader Mauro Durante and his colleagues Giulio Bianco, Alessia Tondo, Emanuele Licci, Silvia Perrone, Giancarlo Paglialunga, and Massimiliano Morabito.
