American roots music band Watchhouse, the superb reincarnation of the great Mandolin Orange, has shared the single “New Star.” The video was directed by Amelia Meath; it centers around modern human rituals of gathering around food and flame.
“New Star” was written by Andrew Marlin. The lineup on the song includes Andrew Marlin on vocals, mandolin and nylon string guitar; Emily Frantz on fiddle, vocals; Josh Oliver on acoustic guitar, 12-string guitar, and electric guitar; Clint Mullican on acoustic bass; Joe Westerlund on drums and percussion; and Josh Kaufman on organ, percussion, and electric guitar.
“New Star” is included in Watchhouse’s upcoming album “Watchhouse,” available on August 13, 2021.
