Malia kora maestro Ballaké Sissoko has released a music video for the musical piece ‘Jeu Sur La Symphonie Fantastique.’ The track features longtime collaborator cellist Vincent Segal and clarinet player Patrick Messina. The track is a recreation of the Berlioz piece of the same name. Suggested by the Berlioz Festival to mark the 150th anniversary of the composer’s death, Ballaké’s new version takes the Symphonie Fantastique on a voyage along the banks of the Niger river.
‘Jeu Sur La Symphonie Fantastique‘ appears in Ballaké Sissoko’s new album “Djourou” (Nø Førmat!). “Djourou” is Sissoko’s 11th album. It includes solo compositions together with collaborations with African and French artists.
