Iconic world music festival WOMAD has announced the first set of artists scheduled to perform in July 2021. The eclectic mix of UK-based artists will celebrate the diversity of musical talent rooted in various music traditions that have made the UK their home.
The 2021lineup includes: Anoushka Shankar, Jordan Rakei, Nitin Sawhney, The Comet is Coming, A Certain Ratio, The Dhol Foundation, Greentea Peng, Nubiyan Twist, The Selecter, Sona Jobarteh, Amaraterra, Bess Atwell, Cheng Yu and Silk Breeze, Dele Sosimi Afrobeat Orchestra, Dizraeli, Dublin Calling All Star Band, Elaha Soroor and Kefaya, Electric Jalaba, The Fontanas, Future Shape of Sound, Grupo Lokito, Jali Bakary Konteh & the Minyanta Band, Joe Armon-Jones, Joji Hirota & the London Taiko Drummers, King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys, Lokkhi Terra, Los Bitchos, Madame Electrifie, Malphino, Mesadorm, Mr Bruce, Onipa, Project Smok, Sam Amidon, Sam Kelly & the Lost Boys, Sarathy Korwar, SEED, Stornoway, Voka Gentle.
