A new version of the classic song “Lagrimas Negras” (Black Tears) features acclaimed Cuban singer Beatriz Márquez, together with some of Jamaica and Cuba’s most accomplished musicians – including drummer Sly Dunbar and members of Irakere, Los Van Van and The Buena Vista Social Club. The song appears in the upcoming album Havana Meets Kingston – Part 2.
This exclusive video footage shows Cuba’s capital city in a very different perspective, captured during the various pandemic lockdowns and curfews of 2020 and 2021. Normally, Havana is filled with music, excitement, people and all kinds of busy activity on the streets.
