The album Rawer Than Raw from 87-year-old bluesman Bobby Rush is the 2021 Grammy Award winner for Best Traditional Blues Album.
Rawer Than Raw includes acoustic versions of well-known blues classics dedicated to Skip James, Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson II, and Muddy Waters. The album also includes original songs written by Emmett Ellis, Jr. (Bobby Rush).
