Aditya Prakash Releases New Song ‘Virahe’

Indian-American artist Aditya Prakash has released a new song titled ‘Virahe‘. The track features Giuliano Modareli on guitar. Aditya Prakash provides lyrical context:

She waits in isolation, in the agony of love and uncertainty, with memories of a near but distant past wistfully enmeshed with the stark reality of her present. For centuries, the agony of Radha in “Virahe” (separation) from her Beloved Krishna has been the central theme of artistic imagination. Today its context hits painfully close to home, from the dense thicket of Radha’s isolation, to the four walls of our own.”

Aditya Prakash Ensemble released the acclaimed album Diaspora Kid in 2020. The ensemble will be performing January 13 at 5:00 p.m. PST as part of virtual world music showcase NPR Tiny Desk Meets globalFEST 2021.

Aditya says” It was an honor to be selected to be a part of globalFEST 2021, and this year it is even more special because globalFEST is partnering with NPR Tiny Desk — a platform I have admired and literally dreamed about being a part of!
