Modeste, a talented guitar player from Betroka (Eastern Madagascar), and Kilema, a multifaceted instrumentalist from Toliara (Western Madagascar), have come together to play and sing catchy melodies celebrating the planet. The duo has released an album titled ‘Green World’ – ‘Ala Maintso’.
Recorded at a distance, the two musicians embarked on a musical journey with the goal to spread the message of saving their much-loved home country of Madagascar.
Climate change is affecting everyone’s lives, including children. Expressed in tracks such a Robaky and Ala Mainsto, Modeste and Kilema ask the listener to consider what will happen to the future generation – their jobs, their homes, their loved ones – if the forests are destroyed? Modeste Hugues & Kilema advocate to save and protect the beautiful Madagascan terrain.
