Manuel de Cantarote Wins Prestigious Flamenco Contest “Naranjito de Triana” 2020

Manuel Moreno Peña, known artistically as ‘Manuel de Cantarote’ has won the flamenco song talent contest “Naranjito de Triana” 2020, one of the leading flamenco contests in Spain. The winner received 1.400 euros.

Manuel de Cantarote was born in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz, Spain) in 1996. During the finals, he performed three types of flamenco genres: tientos, malagueñas and seguiriyas.

África Granados (Cadiz) won the second place award and Laura Marchal (Jaen) won third place.

The contest is organized by Fundación Cristina Heeren with support from renewable energy company Acciona. The flamenco guitar contest will follow in the next days.
