Ethiopian percussionist, composer and innovator Mulatu Astatke has released an album with Australian Ethiojazz band Black Jesus Experience titled ‘To Know Without Knowing” (Agogo Records).
The album was recorded between Addis Ababa and Melbourne, combing Astatke’s skillful improvised stylings and Black Jesus Experience’s predilection for transcontinental and cultural exploration.
‘To Know Without Knowing ‘ includes original compositions and new arrangements of Ethiojazz classics.
