Iconic Senegalese singer Youssou N’Dour is the winner of the 2020 La Mar de Músicas Award. The City Council of Cartagena will present the festival award to the African music superstar, who will perform on Monday, July 20, 2020 at a celebratory concert.
Youssou N’Dour is one of the most influential African artists, a popular icon who is committed to social and cultural matters. His music combines tradition and modernity. N’Dour will accompanied by the Super Etoile of Dakar, the musician who has most helped the development of mbalax, popular music of Senegal.
La Mar de Músicas is an annual world music festival held in Cartagena, Spain.
