New Video from Rising Palestinian Artist Rola Azar

The Delia Arts Foundation has released a music video that showcases Palestinian rising star Rola Azar, a 27 year old independent singer, musician and actress from Nazareth, currently living in Jerusalem, who sings in musical concerts and festivals throughout the world.

Rola Milad Azar sings traditional Arabic music with influences from jazz fusion. She sings “Ya Mayla Alghossoun” and “Almaya Almaya,” and discusses the condition of being a musician and living off your own music in Palestine. Rola has an album titled Rola Azar Sings Ziad Sahhab, released in 2016.

This if the first of a music video series created by the Delia Arts Foundation, an NGO that works supporting musicians in conflict zones, with projects in Palestine. Delia Arts Foundation’s goal is to build infrastructure, create opportunities and make dreams come true for young musicians living in conflict and poverty zones.

The series of the Delia Sessions features young talented Palestinian musicians singing primarily traditional Arabic songs in an intimate, acoustic concert setting shot in various cities of Palestine.
