Mokoomba, one of Zimbabwe’s leading acts, is currently on tour in the United States. Events include two showcases in Austin in March, a recently completed week-long residency at the Zimbabwe Cultural Center of Detroit, performances at Brooklyn’s BRIC House, Boston’s CRASH Arts Festival, and an upcoming concert at the legendary Dirty Bourbon Saloon in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Hailing from Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, Mokoomba is one of Africa’s most exciting live bands, dazzling audiences worldwide with their knockout live shows and potent blend of traditional Tonga and Luvale rhythms laced with funk, soul, soukous and other African pop sounds.
The band’s discography includes Luyando and Rising Tide.
