Scythian to perform at Merlefest 2016

Celtic rock band Scythian is set to perform at MerleFest 2016. Based in Washington, D.C., Scythian merges classical ability with thunderous energy to give crowds an exuberant barn-dance rock concert experience.

Band members include Alexander Fedoryka on fiddle, mandolin, bass and vocals; Celtic fiddler Josef Crosby on fiddle, bass and vocals; Danylo Fedoryka on rhythm guitar, accordion and vocals; Tim Hepburn on drums and percussion; and Larissa Fedoryka on cello.

Scythian’s discography includes Dance at the Crossroads (2002), Aidan’s Orbit (2004), Immigrant Road Show (2007), Scythian Live Vol. 1 (2009), Scythian Live Vol. 2 (2010), American Shanty (2011), It’s Not Too Late (2012), Jump At The Sun (2014), and Old Tin Can (2015).

MerleFest 2016 is scheduled for April 28 – May 1, 2016 and will take place on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
