Kantele innovator Vilma Timonen and her band, Vilma Timonen Quartet (VTQ), will be touring Nepal starting today. On January 7-9, VTQ will be playing a double bill along with Nepalese fusion band Kanta dAb dAb (The Journey to Nowhere Land).
The concerts will take place at venues in Kathmandu and Pokhora and they are organized by Nepal Music Center. There will also be workshops with students and teachers in Nepal Music Center. The tour is supported by Arts Promotion Centre Finland and The Finnish Music Foundation (MES).
