Mexican trad roots ensemble Los Cenzontles has released its 4th single “El Sepulcro de Zapata” (The Tomb of Zapata) on video. The song “El Sepulcro de Zapata” is a heartbreaking story of a veteran of the Mexican Revolution standing at the graveside of General Emiliano Zapata where he denounces the plight of Mexico’s poor and the manipulation of Zapata’s legacy while promising his eternal allegiance.
The video was directed by Tudor Stanley, produced by Los Cenzontles and filmed in the recording studio Ninth Street Opus in Berkeley (California) where the ensemble’s new album ‘Alma Campirana‘ was also recorded.
