The 7th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival is scheduled for May 27-29, 2016 at the historic Monterey County Fair and Event Center.
“We are pleased to announce our first round of the 2016 line-up,” said festival coproducer Dan Sheehan. “The ‘roots’ music scene continues to grow exponentially and we wanted to feature some core artists that helped build our festival’s reputation including Rebelution, Tribal Seeds, and The Green while still showcasing up and coming artists paving the way like Protoje, The Skints, Thrive, and Eli Mac. We take pride in supporting the artists that come up alongside our festival and love helping breaking bands to a wider audience. As our stateside scene grows, we also want to highlight international acts. Debuting an artist like Gondwana from Santiago, Chile, who has an amazing worldwide fanbase, reaffirms that the ‘California Roots’ vibe stretches far past the state’s border uniting kindred spirits worldwide.

Round One Artist Program: Rebelution, Tribal Seeds, The Expendables, The Green, Katchafire, Protoje, Gondwana, Fortunate Youth, The Skints, Nattali Rize, Hirie, Thrive, Eli Mac.
The Round Two artist announcement will be made on Friday, November 13, 2015. The Round Three lineup will be revealed on Thursday, January 7, 2016.
