Leading Spanish world fusion act Javier Paxariño Trio is set to perform on October 24th at offWOMEX stage, Atrium, Müpa Budapest. Show starts at 23:15 (11:15 pm).
Javier Paxariño Trío’s music represents the vast landscape of Spanish music and Mediterranean culture in a contemporary setting. It is the sonic embodiment of passion, a cohesion of the three ancient cultures present in Spanish music. It’s only when the rhythms of the Mediterranean come together can you find such combinations as Gnawa music from the Maghreb with the Ajechao rhythms from Extremadura (western Spain), one of many gems to be found with the background tapestry of the Iberian Peninsula’s cultural diversity.
This multilayered heritage is seasoned with the use of traditional instruments and the musical technology of our times.
