Serbian act Trio Balkan Strings is set to perform at Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center in Berkeley, California, on Thursday, August 13. The guitar ensemble is currently touring North America after a busy summer tour through Eastern Europe and Russia.

Trio Balkan Strings is a family act, featuring three from Belgrade, Serbia. It features father Zoran Starcevic and sons Nikola and Zeljko. Their original music is a mix of Serbian, Balkan Gypsy, Macedonian, Romanian, Moldavian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Mediterranean, and Greek music, along with Middle Eastern, jazz, gypsy swing, and classical music, injecting asymmetrical rhythms and original guitar interpretation.

The group has an album titled Trio Balkan Strings.
