Sarod and Percussion Masters to Perform North Indian Ragas and Talas in New York

HarmoNYom, in association with Brooklyn Raga Massive, will present a Hindustani sarod and percussion concert on Friday, June 12, 2015 at St. Peter’s Chelsea Church in New York City.

This special event will present the concertgoers with a meeting of both Indian raga and rhythm. Sarod maestro Ustad Aashish Khan and his outstanding disciple Sri Anupam Shobhakar perform in both the ancient dhrupad style as well as the more contemporary khayal style.

Pandit Anindo Chatterjee (tabla) and Pandit Manik Munde (pakhawaj) represent the ancient and modern drum traditions of Indian Classical Music.
