World music showcase globalFEST is set to present global music acts at Bonnaroo 2015. The festival takes place June 11-14, 2015 in Manchester, Tennessee. Bonnaroo has become one of the United States’ largest festivals.

This year, globalFEST will present Inuit throat singer Tanya Tagaq, Malian band Songhoy Blues, Atomic Bomb! performing the music of Nigeria’s William Onyeabor, and the Malawian/English dance crew of The Very Best.

This is globalFEST’s third collaboration with Bonnaroo festival. The globalFEST artists will be scheduled throughout the festival, integrating world music as part of the whole festival. The globalFEST intention is to incorporate globally minded sounds into the broader musical culture, and support pioneering artists in the process.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Bonnaroo, and appreciate their ongoing support, as well as the ecstatic reception our previous line-ups have received,” says presenter Bill Bragin, one of the three co-producers of globalFEST. “And we are excited to see these innovative artists spread throughout the line-up, rather than segregated as world music, so that audiences can experience them side by side with their favorite bands, regardless of genre.”
