Ghanaian Afro-Roots sensation Rocky Dawuni is set to perform at “A Night of Afro Roots Vibrations” on Friday May 22nd, 2015 at The Regent in Los Angeles, California. He will be joined by special guests Joe Driscoll and Sekou Kouyate.
Rocky Dawuni is a celebrated musician and humanitarian activist who combines sounds from Africa, the Caribbean and the United States to create was is known as Afro-Roots music. His new album is titled Branches of the Same Tree.
Driscoll is an American beatboxer, rapper, and singer-songwriter based in England. Sekou Kouyate is a renowned electric Kora player from Guinea. Together, they mix hip-hop, funk, rock with Afrobeat, reggae and African beats
Also included on the bill is DJ Glenn Red.
