Peruvian singer-songwriter Miryam Quiñones continues her musical tour of various cities in Spain this week with some performances in the Basque Country. Next dates are Thursday, May 7th showcase at world music expo EXIB Music at La Granja in Bilbao at 22:30. On Friday, May 8 she’ll be at the Kurtzio Culture House in Sopelana at 20:00hs and on Saturday, May 9 she’ll make a presentation at FNAC in Bilbao at 19:00.
So far, Miryam’s European tour has included performances in Bétera, Barcelona, Madrid, Santander, Marseilles, Paris, Granada and Caceres. This tour was made possible by the award from the Ibermúsicas Fund, which Miryam received last year.
Miryam Quiñones is one of the main disseminators of Peruvian and Latin American song and is currently one of the leading voices of Peru. She has traveled throughout most countries in Latin America, sharing the stage with renowned songwriters. She has eight recordings, most notably “Con el Alma en Vilo’ an album that features Silvio Rodríguez, Vicente Feliu, Augusto Blanca, Teresa Parodi, Jorge Fandermole and Alberto Rojo. She recently presented the album ‘Las flores buenas de Javier’, in honor of the poet Javier Heraud, recorded in Cuba with maestro Vicente Feliu.
