Latin Grammy winner Jarabe de Palo is set to perform at Motorco in Durham on April 22nd, 2015. The concert is part of their ’Tour Americano 2015.’
The Spanish group based in Barcelona is led by productive singer-songwriter and guitarist Pau Donés. Jarabe de Palo is characterized by a catchy fusion of rock and blues with Latin American rhythms.
Jarabe de Palo originally broke onto the international scene with their timeless smash hit “La Flaca,” which was recently covered by Juanes for the new Santana album.
During its storied career, Jarabe de Palo has been nominated for 16 Latin Grammy’s and sold more than five million albums worldwide, collaborating with a wide variety of major artists such as Celia Cruz, Compay Segundo, Pavarotti and Chrissy Hynde (The Pretenders).
Jarabe de Palo was recently nominated for three Latin Grammy awards including “Album of the Year” “Best Rock Song” and “Best Pop/Rock Album” for its latest album Somos.
