Canadian acts Nagata Shachu and Toronto Tabla Ensemble are set to perform on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Small World Music’s 13th Annual Asian Music Series in Toronto.
The vibrant and evocative rhythms of Japan and India come together in this collaboration between two essential acts of the Toronto world music scene. For the first time in 20 years, artistic director Kiyoshi Nagata (of leading Japanese taiko group Nagata Shachu) and artistic director Ritesh Das (of the Toronto Tabla Ensemble) will join their groups together as never before in an evening of exhilarating rhythms and jubilant percussion.
